In November 1963, with the opening of the first Billa market in Landstrasse 44 in Linz, the foundation stone for Upper Austria was laid as “a business location that is important to us”, said Billa board member Harald Mießner yesterday afternoon. The reason for the memory was pre-opening with prominent guests of the food market in the city center, which was converted in eight months of construction.
