123 days have passed since the football sub-house said goodbye to the long winter break. Next weekend, the district leagues and the 1st and 2nd classes will be again on points. In the end, who can cheer for the ascent? Who has to start the bitter walk into the lower class? The answers will provide the players on the place. At the start of the second half of the season, the OÖN take a look at the leagues of the Innviertel clubs.

Defensive stability, victories against direct competitors and the infamous “run” were the foundation for the successful autumn season of the SK Altheim in the District League West. The team of coach Rudolf Spindler lost none of her last nine games in the first half of the season and in the end it deserves the “autumn crown”. For the first time since the Landesliga relegation in 2019, the “Red Teufel” can calculate serious chances of returning. “We don’t need to talk around the hot porridge,” says Spindler. “When you hibernate, you want to climb up in the end.”
With this goal you are of course not alone. Three to four competitors have been in the table behind the Altheimers who hope for a slip of the leader, which has so far been very confident. These teams include the two strong promoters Diersbach and Weng as well as last year’s relegation participant Senftenbachthat are all in the lurk position. And also Riedau is always traded as a candidate for promotion by league experts. “We are aware that it will be a tough spring. There will be no march as in autumn.
