Delicate cases in property transactions are rare

The district land traffic commission met seven times in the previous year and issued 205 notices. The acquisition of an agricultural and forestry property requires the approval of the land traffic authority, which is headed by Deputy District Governor Hermann Mühlleitner.

In addition to the “green” basic traffic, the authority is also responsible for foreigners’ basic traffic for non-EU citizens. In the previous year, 84 notifications for applicants from 22 nations were issued here.

While in Salzburg, for example, the Court of Auditors massively criticizes the work of the land transport authority, sensitive cases are rare here, as Mühlleitner emphasizes. This also applies to branches in the lake area, where new second homes are no longer possible due to the restricted area.

On May 1st there will be a change in the district land traffic commission: Regina Gabriel will succeed Mühlleitner, who is retiring, and Theresa Raschhofer will be her deputy.
