The lights went out worldwide to “Earth Hour”

As part of the worldwide “Earth Hour” – the hour for the earth – famous sights such as the Eiffel Tower in Paris, the Christ -Slöser statue in Rio de Janeiro, the opera house in Sydney, the temple of dawn in Bangkok and the Empire State Building in New York in darkness.

The environmental protection organization WWF calls for this action every year in order to set a visible sign for the conscious handling of energy and the protection of the planet. “Never stood more than today,” said Kirsten Schuijt, the general director of WWF International, about the background of the event.
