Shortly after 6 p.m., a 60-year-old bus driver from the Urfahr area drove his bus from the bus garage (old bus terminal – former post office) to Kärntner Straße, where he turned right at the traffic light-controlled crossing with the station square (in the direction of the old main post office ) wanted to turn. At the same time, the 13-year-old girl from the Linz-Land district probably wanted to pass the crossing in the direction of travel out of town with her e-scooter on the protective path there.
According to initial information, she should have driven in the direction of the train station. In the area of the protection path, there was a collision between the two vehicles, with the 13-year-old presumably falling under the vehicle after hitting the bus and being seriously injured.
According to him, the bus driver had not noticed the scooter driver and only heard an impact in the rear of his vehicle. The seriously injured girl received first aid from the emergency doctor and was transferred to Med Campus III.
