In the past, the Bad Haller “hobby weather frog” Manfred Essl mostly hit the mark. Now, with his forecast for the coming summer, he dares again on thin, hopefully fruity-sweet ice: “By the end of April it will continue typical for this month, very changeable with a lot of precipitation,” says Essl, “but this will be responsible for ongoing high-pressure areas in July and August.” Nobody will be record summer, but the health resort must be set on twelve to 15 days with temperatures beyond the 30-degree mark, i.e. tropics.
Winter has never been so dry
The reason for all of this is that the large weather situation has changed. The current now comes from the Biskaya, i.e. from the West Atlantic, the air masses from Gibraltar came to us beforehand.
