A premiere in a double sense is on the program in Linz on Sunday: With the version of Mozart’s opera “The Magic Flute” for the first time, the large hall of the Linz music theater is opened for a children’s opera for the first time.
“We want to put a door into the world of opera,” says director Francois de Carpentries, who wrote the version under the title “Papageno and the Magic Flute” with his partner Karine van Hercke for Linz. The Belgian is also responsible for the stage and costumes. Both are also responsible for adult production, which has been seen in the music theater since September.
