A total of 4,559 infections were registered in Upper Austria, Salzburg, Tyrol, Vorarlberg, Carinthia, Styria and Burgenland (Vienna and Lower Austria have semester breaks, note). In the previous week there were 2,084 positive tests in these countries. This means that significantly more infections have been recorded in all federal states except Carinthia. On Tuesday, 1,054 positive tests were submitted in Styria (previous week: 522), in Tyrol 590 (417), in Carinthia 446 (465), in Salzburg 349 (184) and in Vorarlberg 331 (183). As early as Monday, 1,789 (292) infections were registered in Upper Austria and 266 (21) in Burgenland.
Starting this week, two PCR tests will be carried out at the schools every week; so far, with the exception of Vienna, it has only been one. The results so far relate only to the respective first test day. This Wednesday, tests were carried out again in Upper Austria and Burgenland, followed by the remaining five federal states on Thursday.
