Together with her daughter Lou-Anne, Martina Gleissebner-Teskey took part in the 17th season of the TV model show “Germany’s Next Topmodel” (GNTM) around Heidi Klum. “It was not about having me pressed into a certain model image. Rather, I wanted to show that it is never too late to stand for what you love,” says the Linz native, who came to the final as an applicant at the age of over 50.
For them, this was another step to challenge themselves: the call from Heidi Klum, the older participants for the first time gave themselves the chance to apply, was the moment when she knew that this was her opportunity. She applied on the day of her 50th birthday-and not alone: her daughter Lou-Anne competed with her, who even won the season in the end.
As a trainer, coach and entrepreneur, the step into a television format in her environment was not understandable for everyone. “The desire to learn and experience something again and again has moved on,” explains the former GNTM participant in the live podcast conversation at the OÖN Women’s Day.
