After violent hail and rains, the fire brigade in Waidhofen also had to move out on the Thaya. Within a short time there were more than ten centimeters of ice on the streets, the FF reported on its website. Some channel lids were pushed out of the anchorage. The basement of a single -family house was completely flooded and had to be pumped out by the helpers. Around 100 firefighters were deployed, the district command Waidhofen on the Thaya reported.
