We should eat healthy, sleep well, make movement. We should be successful in the job, take care of our family and look young for a long time. We should “” “” a lot in today’s world. “The expectation of always having to be healthy and happy often does quite unhappy. It is better to take things as they come-and that means highs and lows,” says psychologist and cabaret artist Isabella Waldrich in the live podcast day at the OÖN Women’s Day.
But how do you bring this lightness to our everyday life? “By developing an early warning system for ourselves and incorporating emergency brakes,” says the expert. From the time from which we become emotional whether the pressure, at the latest then this brake must work.
“I have always thought about how I realize that the trouble begins. And then pull the emergency brake, for example by deliberately taking or mediting for myself for a few minutes break, my system is so that I can get in touch with myself,” she explains her access.
Confidence and humor
It is about taking yourself seriously and paying attention to yourself. Especially in times like these when you often feel powerless in this world, you should look for things that you can really influence. “Don’t get upset about the Saustall in the garden of the neighbor – take care of your own construction sites,” says Waldrich with a wink. The question above is always: “What can I do?”
This also includes confidence and trust that it will have something good. “No matter how stupid is something, who knows what it is good for,” says the psychologist. The social environment is also crucial.
Positive people preferred
“The more I surround myself with positive people and joyful moments, the more I treat my body,” she says, and holds it with actress Senta Berger, who once said: “Some are only a fire and flame for something because they are married to a fire extinguisher.”
A portion of humor is also not a shame. “If I get annoyed about something, I always ask myself: Who can I tell as a good story? Then I can laugh at it.”
