Kröswang: sales record and a new location

As the family business announced yesterday, the KRöswang Gastro Group’s turnover could be increased again: to a record sales of around 401 million euros. In 2023 it was 375 million euros. “We grew twice as much as the competition,” says Managing Director and owner Manfred Kröswang.

With an increase of 7.7 percent compared to the previous year, the largest increase in sales of all food wholesalers were recorded. More than 2,600 new customers from gastronomy, hotel industry and joint catering were added, said Kröswang. In total, the freshness specialist looks after around 15,000 customers.

“We achieved more than 60 million euros alone with fresh meat from Austria,” says chief Kröswang. This is also to be understood as a commitment to customers about Austrian meat. Kröswang has around 500 products for this, and meat sales rose by eleven percent in the previous year. According to Marketing Manager Arthur Gaisberger, the following products are “the absolute hit” – both in the case of quantity and sales: careerous vessels, turkey breast, smoked salmon and egg spaetzle. In total, Kröswang sells around 3000 products. The Grieskirchner company is investing in the expansion and the location network continues to grow. On May 5, the twelfth location in Neukirchen (Lower Austria) is scheduled to go into operation-with a modern refrigeration system, 16 truck ramps and a 700 square meter PV system.
