The driver – according to initial information a Czech – was caught in the wreck. “Thank God it wasn’t as bad as feared. We were able to free the injured handlebar from his location without devices,” says Führer, commander of the Sonnberg fire department.
Came onto the wrong track
What happened? The station wagon was likely to have come to the opposite lane in a curve at 6:30 a.m. when driving towards Hellmonsödt. At that moment a regular bus came towards him. Fortunately, there are no passengers in it. The car of the Czech crashed head -on against the bus. The following VW bus, which was occupied by three people, could no longer avoid. He crashed into the front against the rear of the station wagon.
Motorist and bus driver injured
The driver was first looked after by the emergency doctor and taken to the hospital in Linz with the rescue. The regular bus driver was also injured. The three inmates of the small bus should have remained unharmed.
The fire brigades Sonnberg and Hellmonsödt were used for a good two hours to clean the road. In addition, the volunteers supported the towing company with the rescue of the accident vehicles. The B126 was blocked during use.
