“With the founding of our own green youth group for the district, we are taking the next and logical step,” announce Dana Stachl and Florian Bauernfeind as the main organizers of the founding meeting on February 20 at 6 p.m. in Zwettl an der Rodl. Initiated by a few green municipal councils, this green district group is to be placed on a broad basis.
“We know that many young people want to work for climate protection, social justice and a future-proof district of Urfahr. You are invited to get involved in our new district group,” says Julia Reiter, one of the initiators of the district group.
“We are addressing young people under 30. You can contact us at urfahr-Umwelt@gruene-jugend.at or drop by the meeting directly,” says Reiter. Incidentally, anyone who wants to get involved does not need to be a party member. The state spokeswoman for the Green Youth, Leonie Stüger, also sees an important growth step: “Our organization is growing steadily. This enables us to successively represent our concerns throughout Upper Austria. The new district group in Urfahr gives many other young people the framework to get involved politically and to get involved to work for their cause.”
