In the course of a search, the suspect’s vehicle was located around 11:30 p.m. in Vienna-Donaustadt. Numerous coins were discovered during a search of the man’s apartment on Tuesday night. The stolen goods from the burglary in Linz were also secured. In the Viennese’s car, the investigators found crime clothing and tools.
Damage around 20,000 euros
The man confessed and stated that he had financed his livelihood with the loot. The damage was around 20,000 euros, with the property damage being minor, the police reported. Overall, the unemployed Austrian citizen is said to have cracked at least eleven coin counting machines since October of the previous year. The crime scenes were in Linz and in Vienna-Brigittenau and Vienna-Donaustadt.
