Black smoke swaths penetrated from the underground car park below a residential complex in the center of Linz on Tuesday: Fire broke out at Raimundstraße 41 for an unknown cause, and a resident chose the emergency call around 9 a.m. The Linz professional fire brigade arrived with eight vehicles and 27 men.

When the emergency services arrived, the garage and its surroundings were already heavily smoky. Several respiratory protection teams entered the building. Because of the complex building structure, it was a challenging commitment, it was said by the professional fire brigade. Nevertheless, it quickly managed to locate the stove and extinguish the flames using a C-tube.
