There are three assembly options for bike racks: roof, rear or trailer coupling. “The safest and most stable variant are systems for the trailer coupling,” says ÖAMTC technician Steffan Kerbl. The models were checked for their quality, handling and security. Kerbl is quite satisfied with the results: “All models survived in the test alternative maneuvers at 90 km/h without any problems. This shows progress compared to tests from the past.”
In addition to a “very good” and ten “good”, there are two “satisfactory” in the test. No product failed.
In terms of security, everyone convinces
The test winner is that Uebler i21which stands out with its unique and very easy -to -use assembly type, at the same time the lightest rear carrier is the least space when stowed.
At the other end of the test field the Menabo Antares 2who also concludes “satisfactory” overall. However, the elaborate initial ceremony and the more bulky service prevent a better assessment. Also only “satisfactory” does the Fischer Prolineevo from – here too, the initial tap is complex. With the actual assembly, a clamping force of 45 kg must be applied.
There is a wide field of ten products between these two models and the test winner, which were rated “well”.
