The 64-year-old is the father of the much-quoted “Rieder Football wonder”. He brought the Rieder from the Landesliga to the Bundesliga and the European Cup from 1988 to 1999. To a certain extent, he can understand that there are also critics among the supporters. “The past simply showed that SV Ried belongs to the Bundesliga. Of course, these successes are a certain burden for the current responsible persons.” Roitinger, who meets every Friday with former football companions, meets the team on Friday agent (8:30 p.m., Innviertel Arena) a victory against the Admira. “The team has the quality. A euphoria can arise when we climb. You could then take it into the summer and autumn. It would be great if Rapid, the Lask, Salzburg and Sturm Graz would come to us again,” says Roitinger.
