The Wings for Life World Run, who experiences its 12th edition on Sunday at 1 p.m. (Servus TV), heads for a record record. The record from the previous year with 265,818 people worldwide who ran for those who cannot do it. In Austria, too, the charitable event is booming, in which millions are collected for spinal cord research (100 percent of the entry fee and donations).

In 2024, 60,900 active people moved through the entire country. Tendency rising. “I am overwhelmed by the enormous response every year. This is an incredibly nice feeling. When many people bundle their strength, great things happen,” said Anita Gerhardter, managing director of the “Wings for Life” foundation, which will even start at the Flagship Run in Poland: “We have a big goal: Together we will describe the medical history and find healing for cross-sectional paralysis.”
