Security, meaning, stress: How the Austrians are doing at work

Two out of three employees were recently under rather strong or strong stress.

How satisfied are the Austrians with their work? What is important to you? And how will the world of work change? The Linz opinion researcher Imas investigated these questions in his working world report, for which 1002 people were interviewed. “Safety, the working atmosphere, earnings, appreciation and joy in the activity are particularly important for the job itself and the job selection.

Your own job is perceived as a central sensor in life, “says Paul Eiselsberg of Imas. For 61 percent each, a safe job and a good working atmosphere are very important, 56 percent name. 76 percent say that your work is meaningful. According to Imas managing director Gernot Hendorfer, every second employee is very satisfied with the current job.
