Dancing in a mild summer night in the magnificent arcade courtyard of the Vienna town hall – and that with the best company from home: “It feels like in a fairy tale,” says Chiara Steiner about the ball of the Upper Austrians, which will be held in the federal capital on June 14. The 24-year-old experienced her premiere last year and was “just overwhelmed”.

It is all the greater the joy that she can help the ball visitors this year as managing director of the Upper Austrian home. Steiner entered the footsteps of senior boss Maria Huber. For them, the ball visit to the federal capital has long tradition. “I always say: clothes make people, but costume makes you faith.” With these words, Huber gave the start of the Upper Austrian ball on Thursday evening.
