39 police officers and six officers from the financial police found 107 guests with neither an operating permit nor a trade license. 61 guests did not have valid 2G proof, the police reported on Saturday. The convicted neo-Nazi Gottfried Küssel was among those present, the police confirmed in a report by “NÖN”.
A police spokesman reported that six people, including Küssel, expressed their anger about the raid to the officers too much. They received complaints of decency. In addition to violations of the Covid 19 Measures Act, the operators were also reported on suspicion of tax evasion.
According to Johann Baumschlager from the Lower Austrian police, the Greek restaurant has been officially closed for a long time. Since November, however, several guests have been found in three checks. Some of these are known to the police and can be assigned to the corona denier milieu, according to Baumschlager. The restaurant’s homepage read on Saturday: “Our company is closed, friends are always welcome.”
