SV Guntamatic Ried completes this short training week with a very positive feeling. No wonder: Fabian Wohlmuth shot the Rieder on Sunday in the 94th minute for the last minute home win against Sturm Graz. The cheers were accordingly great. “Of course, this gives us an additional thrust emotionally. The meantime 1: 1 shortly before the end was a neck strike, the greater the joy of the goal of Wohlmuth,” says Wolfgang Fiala, Managing Director Sport of SV Ried. Everyone in the club is fully aware that nothing has yet been achieved. Two steps are still to be taken, the first one wanted to set the first on Friday evening (8:30 p.m.) in Bregenz. “We still need at least four points that we want to get,” says Rieder’s sports director.
The Bregenzers have been in a result crisis for weeks. The last seven games, the table seventh, who completed an excellent autumn season, lost. “It doesn’t matter at all and is not meaningful for me,” warns Fiala, adding: “Bregenz has a pleasant starting point. They play their last home game and have nothing to lose.” The quality of the Bregenzer is undisputed, “this impressively showed the strong results in autumn. But our goal is to win there to take the next step,” says Fiala. The team will go to Bregenz on Thursday after the morning training and the subsequent lunch.
