ÖH election: Red students with gains in first place

The red students ended up in first place with a vote share of 30 percent (plus 4 percentage points). Together with the stagnating Greens and alternative students (grass/18 percent), they come to a majority in the 55-member federal representation, the Austria-wide student parliament. The turnout increased to 22.1 percent.

The VSSTÖ reached a total of 18 mandates (plus 3). The ÖVP-related action community (AG) ended up in second place with 21 percent and 12 mandates, just behind the grass with eleven mandates as before. It was easy for the young liberal students (Junos) with eight percent (2023: nine) and four mandates (minus one) as well as the party -independent school lists (Flö) with seven percent (2023: eight) and unchanged also four mandates.
