The participant from Ukraine at Eurovision ended up in the base of the Peacemaker

Ukrainian singer Alina Pash, who became the winner of the national selection of Ukraine for Eurovision 2022, ended up in the Peacemaker database. The artist was included in the database for visiting the Crimea, reports on Sunday, February 13, RIA Novosti.

The singer got on the list of the Ukrainian resource after she arrived on the peninsula for the wedding of friends in 2015. The scandal erupted due to the fact that she traveled to the Crimea after the reunification of the peninsula with Russia. The website “Peacemaker” considered this “a deliberate violation of the state border of Ukraine.” As a result, the singer and her family began to receive threats.

According to Pash, since the formation of her musical group, she has never performed in Russia. Once, in 2017, she went to Moscow, but, as the singer notes, for personal reasons and “as a private person.”

The Ukrainian website “Peacemaker” was created in August 2014 on the initiative of Anton Gerashchenko, who was then a freelance adviser to the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine. The site positions itself as “an Internet representation of the Center for Research on Crimes Against the Foundations of Ukraine’s National Security, Peace, Security of Citizens.” The site contains an open database of personal data of citizens who were in the war zone in Ukraine. In particular, the website published a list of media workers accredited by the authorities of the DPR.

Despite being included in the “Peacemaker” database, Alina Pash successfully passed the national selection for the Eurovision music contest, performing the song “Tinі Zabutih Predkіv” (“Shadows of Forgotten Ancestors”). The singer took first place, receiving 15 points based on the results of two votes – the audience and the jury. The latter included the winner of Eurovision 2016 Jamala, singer Tina Karol and director Yaroslav Lodygin.

In 2022 Eurovision will be held in Italy. The final of the competition will take place on May 14 at the Pala Olimpico arena.
