The whole country is in a song contest fever: thanks to JJS Triumph at the 69th competition in Basel, the biggest music show returns to Austria in May 2026. The planning has already started at ORF, because the mega event must be organized within a few months. Those responsible have to find an answer to many open questions:
1. Who should moderate the song contest?
Moderator duos or trios have led through the two semi -finals and the final of the ESC in recent years. At the Song Contest 2015 in Vienna, Mirjam Weichselbraun, Arabella Kiesbauer and Alice Tumler were deployed, Conchita Wurst came out of the green room. Several names have already brought themselves into play for the edition next year: “Mr. Song Contest” Andi Knoll, commentator of the spectacle for years, said in the ORF documentary “ESC Vienna 2015”, if there would be the chance to moderate again, “then I would like to, please!” Arabella Kiesbauer is also not averse: “If you need me, I am available,” she told Puls24.
