Mitterkirchner Christian Zeindlhofer was appointed as the new civil defense district manager for Perg. As a former professional soldier and graduate of the Danube University Krems in the field of security and safety management, the 40-year-old has the best qualifications for this task. The father of two daughters is constantly educating himself in civil defense and disaster control and is currently working in the security sector of a large telecommunications company. During his final thesis at the Danube University Krems, he was already dealing with aspects of civil protection on the subject of blackouts – a catastrophe scenario that civil protection in Upper Austria has been dealing with for years and in which the association has developed into the leading advice center.
“With Christian Zeindlhofer, the tasks of a civil defense district manager are in particularly good hands due to his professional activity and his knowledge in the security sector,” says Upper Austria’s civil defense president NR-Abg. Michael Hammer. As district manager, Christian Zeindlhofer will be the future contact for all questions of safety prevention for the population and the communities in the district of Perg.
Together with the civil defense manager Josef Lindner from Naarn, Zeindlhofer already made his inaugural visit to the Perg district captain Werner Kreisl, who also works on a voluntary basis in the civil defense presidium. District Governor Kreisl was also pleased that Christian Zeindlhofer, a competent district manager with comprehensive safety knowledge, was appointed.
The aim of the Upper Austrian civil defense is to point out dangers to the citizens and to support them in preparing for a crisis-proof budget. The recommended self-protection measures help to avoid dangers, to bridge the time until the emergency services arrive and to survive crises as unscathed as possible.
