Allegedly to prevent a collision with an oncoming car, a 20-year-old from the Ried district dodged on Sunday night in Pattigham (Ried district) and brushed against three guide posts, two snow poles, the guardrail and the garden fence of a family home he drove onto an embankment, which caused the car to fall sideways and land on the road.
The 20-year-old was able to free himself from the badly damaged car and was taken to the Ried hospital with minor injuries after first aid by the rescue and emergency doctor.
An alcohol test carried out on the car driver showed a value of 1.32 per mil. His driver’s license was taken away.
Against the guard rails in Enns
During the night of Saturday, a 36-year-old Bosnian from the Linz-Land district left the L571 with his car in the municipality of Enns. He crashed into the guard rails several times over a length of more than 200 meters. Both wheels on the passenger side were torn from the axle. The tank also broke in the accident, causing around 30 liters of fuel to flow into the sloping shoulder. An alcohol test carried out on the 36-year-old showed a value of 1.12 per mille. The car was totaled.
The road cleaning was carried out by the FF Enns. The polluter arranged for the vehicle to be towed away. Due to the fuel spill, the Linz-Land district authority ordered the superficial excavation of the shoulder.
