But how much order does it take, and who actually fits minimalism? “The desire to free yourself from superfluous is omnipresent,” says the expert. Not everyone feels comfortable with radical minimalism. While a leather shelf creates cosiness and freedom for some, others need visible memorabilia and loved ones.

It is important to focus on your own needs. There may be the personal “Krimskrams drawer”-only it is crucial to give these little chaos islands a framework and to mut the regularly.

But how do I manage to get order to my appearance? Here are the tips of the order coachin:

  1. Count small steps: The biggest mistake when tidying up is to tackle everything at once. It is better to start with a small charging, e.g. the sock or brooder-stuff charging. The sense of achievement motivates for more.
  2. Sort out instead of after -hoard: Get rid of the superfluous ballast and only keep what is really needed and liked. Giving away does not mean throwing away – giving away or donations also creates inner well -being.
  3. Every object has its place: Once a fixed place is defined, daily tidying up is easier. No intermediate bearings – take off right where it belongs.
  4. Use clever regulatory systems: Use the cupboards better after height and depth, e.g. with additional shelves or turntable in the kitchen and refrigerator.
  5. Routines and small habits: After brushing your teeth, wipe the sink quickly, never go empty -handed into the next room – small habits add up to a permanently decent home.

Perhaps it is precisely the conscious doing that makes order particularly valuable. Anyone who tidies up is practicing in the here and now: deliberately illuminate things, make decisions, loosen from superfluous. Evelyn German therefore also recommends “single-tasking” instead of multitasking-and often pause in everyday life, breathe consciously, enjoy the moment-that is lived mindfulness.
