Another 33 people were injured, seven of them seriously, said rescue workers on Monday. The accident occurred Monday morning at 1 a.m. (local time, 7 p.m. CEST) on the busy east-west highway.
As a result of the collision, the minibus plunged into a ditch, according to the accident authority of the Malaysian state of Perak, while the bus tipped to the side. Several victims had to be recovered with the help of rescue scissors. Students from near the capital Kuala Lumpur were on board the bus.
