Van der Bellen was still in the town hall before the memorial event, which was organized by Muslim Youth Austria, Styria, together with numerous other youth organizations and the Styrian State Youth Advisory Board, for discussions with Governor Mario Kunasek (FPÖ) in Grazer Burg and Mayor Elke Kahr (KPÖ). According to Van der Bellen, these were “shaped by the horror and horror that we experienced yesterday. But on the other hand, the police operation was recognized. Van der Bellen also said: “There are questions for the future – one concerns the 21 -year -old. He had weapons ready for use. The short -term commemorative event then took place, which were also initiated with speeches by Van der Bellen and Kahr. As on Tuesday, Kahr emphasized that people should now be there for each other and hug to show “that you are not alone”. It is important to “stand together and to hold together – for peace, solidarity and respect. We stick together together.”
