The Austria Chamber of Commerce has reorganized its leadership tips in several specialist associations. The Tyrolean restaurateur Alois Rainer Mario Pulker, who has represented the industry for ten years, follows the gastronomy, as the chamber announced on Friday. The hotel industry will represent the hotelier Georg Imlauer in the next five years and thus replaces Johann Spreitzhofer.
Rainer leads the Gasthof Hotel Post in Strass in the Zillertal. The new industry spokesman for gastronomy has been active in the WKÖ for more than 20 years. In 2018 he became a specialist group chairman gastronomy of the Tyrol Chamber of Commerce. Since 2022 he has been chairman of the tourism and leisure industry division and thus tourism spokesman. Since 2023 he has also been the federal divisional chairman in the federal division of tourism and leisure management of the Austria Chamber of Commerce. According to the information, the specialist association represents around 56,000 restaurants with more than 153,000 employees and annual sales of around 11.8 billion euros.
At the head of the transportation, Gunter Mayrhofer is an Upper Austrian: Mayrhofer runs a taxi and bus company in Steyr. The association has 13,000 member companies. Mayrhofer follows Erwin Leitner.
