CATFISH. The city is currently on the lookout for talented actors who will appear as part of a musical theatre. The unusual search is based on a project that is currently in the making. Art should also play a role in the celebrations for “800 years of the city of Wels”. By the end of January, the people of Wels or the people who work in Wels should have come up with ideas of what Wels could look like in a hundred years. From this, Gabriele-Kirsten Lutz and Helmut Schmidinger, together with professionals and amateurs, conceive music theater that looks to the future.
The premiere of “Plus Einhundred – Three Zones Future” is planned for November 4th in the Stadttheater. For the production, the city is looking for interested citizens from the age of ten who can imagine an acting role at a casting. The producers will provide information on the extent to which rehearsals will take place at tomorrow’s information evening (7 p.m. to 8.30 p.m.) in the Cordatus Hall. The casting itself will take place on Sunday, March 6, from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. The information evening and casting will take place in compliance with the currently applicable Covid-19 regulations. Registrations are possible at info@jungestheaterwels.at.
The event service and adult education center is available for information by e-mail at vas@wels.gv.at or at 07242/235-7030.
