For the now eleventh time, the clubs Upper Austrian football sub-house have the chance to fulfill the dream of climbing or the goal of class in relegation. In the coming days, “follow -up” will also be for five Innviertel teams, some of whom are even in “direct” duels. The OÖN give an overview of the individual games with Innviertler participation.
Eberschwang: Jeging (district league: 1st grade)
Two teams, whose shape curve went up strongly in the past round round, meet in this relegation duel. While the Eberschwangers as the fifth best spring team made the leap from the last place in the table to the relegation place, Jeging started an impressive catch -up and pushed himself to second place after seventh place in autumn.

With a little luck, you could even have chosen the master last weekend, but in the end the SPG Palting/Seeham won the title in the 1st grade Southwest. “The relegation was our big goal. Now we want to take the momentum from the spring,” says Jeging coach Bernhard Buchwinkler, who only took over the team last winter and could now write club history: Jeging has never played in the district league, and three years ago the first promotion to the 1st grade.
“Of course we want to take the chance of this unique success. It would be a sensation for our club. I think that the relegation for the team that plays for the climb is tend to be more to be contested,” says Buchwinkler.
The relegation games are a “bonus”, says Josef Bögl, also only since winter coaches of SV Eberschwang: “They are games in which the daily constitution and probably also the happiness will be decisive. We are aware that we will need a concentrated performance from front to back.” The first leg in Eberschwang will kick off on Thursday at 5 p.m., as is the second leg on Sunday in Jeging.
