How was the “midnight hammer” of the US against Iran
The operation to bomb the Iranian nuclear facilities this Saturday was developed in the largest of the secrets, according to the head of the American Staff, General Dan Caine, in a press conference. The action “was highly classified” and a handful of people was barely informed, even several disguise maneuvers were used: a group of B2 bombers headed towards the Pacific, visible, as a lure, and those who were really going to intervene put towards Iran in furtive mode in the opposite direction, much faster.
The bombing began at 18.40 Washington time (2.10 in the morning in Tehran), when two B-2 threw GBU-57 antibunker bombs, of more than 13,000 kilos, on “one of the various objectives” in Fordo, where the bulk of the Iranian nuclear program protected under the mountains of the southern Tehran was located.
The bomb attacks were followed by Tomahawk missile releases against Isfahán, where Iranian ballistic missiles were found, “to maintain the element of surprise,” Caine explained. The airplanes participating in the operation did not detect fire against them at any time of the operation, has underlined the high command. “It seems that they did not see us. We managed to maintain the surprise element,” he said.
