With the previous regulations these operations were considered imports, which implied additional loads and administrative obstacles. With the new regulations, sales made from the customs area of Tierra del Fuego to consumers in the rest of the country, through digital platforms and shipments by Couer or Argentine mail, will be recognized as internal operations, without applying extra taxes or restrictions that the products were increasing.

The decree modifies the fiscal treatment for Fueguinas companies, allowing products such as TV, cell phones, microwave and other appliances can reach any part of the country without paying additional loads. In addition, it clarifies that these operations should be considered deliveries for domestic consumption, eliminating the previous interpretation that assimilated them to imports.
How will it be implemented
This regulation complements the AFIP and Finance resolutions, which establish the procedures for its implementation. Companies must adjust their systems to meet the new requirements, which include that the products have been manufactured or transformed into Tierra del Fuego under the industrial promotion regime.
One of the key changes is that shipping can have any destination in the country without affecting the fiscal condition of the operation, allowing consumers to buy Fuegian products with home delivery without paying additional charges or facing unnecessary customs procedures. This especially benefits signatures in Ushuaia and Rio Grande, facilitating their commercial expansion and simplifying tax and accounting procedures.
The regime maintains the benefits of the promotional regime of Tierra del Fuego, but modifies the way in which sales are channeled, eliminating obstacles and promoting digital trade. Besides, The operations will remain subject to small purchases limits, with a maximum of US $ 3,000 per operation and up to three annual purchases per person.
The authorities note that this measure seeks to enhance the industrial development of Tierra del Fuego, promote electronic commerce and create more equitable competition conditions, promoting more efficient growth in the region without altering existing promotional benefits.
