Globant shares plunged 10% on Wall Street after being hacked

What happened was that Lapsus$ published about 70 GB of internal company data and the master access keys to a large number of internal services.

The hackers sent their Telegram group – made up of 54,000 members – images of extracted data and credentials pertaining to the company’s DevOps infrastructure.

From folders with global companies -such as Banco Galicia, DHL, Facebook and Stifel- until GB of Globant source codethey shared administrator passwords and the code review tool crucible.

The company, after the fact, reported that “we have recently discovered that a limited section of our code repository has been subject to unauthorized access”. Globant maintained that she activated security protocols and is conducting a thorough investigation.

“Based on our current analysis, the information accessed was limited to certain source code and project-related documentation for a very limited number of clients,” Globant said.

“To date, we have not found any evidence that other areas of our infrastructure systems or those of our customers were affected,” they added.
