All this event occurred after, practically, the tycoon forced the workers to return to face-to-face. “Anyone who wants to work remotely must spend a minimum of 40 hours in the office or leave Tesla. This is less than what we ask of factory employees,” Musk said in an email to his employees.

“If you do not appear, we will assume your resignation,” he sentenced. The number of Tesla employees doubled from a year before the pandemic, so the company’s offices may not be adapted for a larger number of people.

Within the technological world, the vast majority, such as Twitter or Google, are allowing their workers to opt for full or hybrid teleworking with some face-to-face days in the office. However, Tesla does not want either of those two possibilities.

“Of course there are companies that don’t require this, but when was the last time they announced a great new product? It’s been a while,” the businessman argued.
