Batakis passed the first market test: Treasury raised 2,607 million

The Ministry of Economy also reported that carried out a conversion of titles (lede S29L2 for lecer X29L2 maturing on July 29, 2022) for $190,395 million to reduce maturities for the month.

In the first auction of the month, the Treasury offered four titles maturing in 2022, 2023 and 2027.

A LELITE was issued, maturing on August 11, 2022, the discount bill (LEDE) was reopened, maturing on October 31, 2022, a new US dollar-linked bond was issued, maturing on July 31, 2023 and the reopening of the bond (BOTE) took place, maturing on May 23, 2027.

Investor interest was reflected in the 461 offers submitted, for a total amount of $203,199 million nominal value, awarding a cash value of $122,607 million.

“During the first half of July, the National Treasury faced maturities for a total of 8,851 million pesos, so in this tender a net financing of close to 113,800 million was obtained,” said the Ministry of Economy.

Of the total financing obtained, 92% was represented by fixed-rate instruments and the remaining 8% resulted in instruments linked to the US dollar. Likewise, 62% corresponded to instruments maturing in 2022, 8% to instruments maturing in 2023, and the remaining 30% to instruments maturing in 2027.

For its part, in the conversion operation, 44 offers were received for a nominal value of 160,653 million. “In order to reduce the projected maturities for this month, the conversion of the LEDE (S29L2) and the LECER (X29L2) was offered, both due on July 29, 2022, for which a basket was offered consisting of two new LEDE maturing on February 28 and April 28, 2023,” they described.

Within the framework of the Market Makers Program, the second round will be held this Thursday, where offers can be received and awarded for up to 20% of the total nominal value awarded in this tender.

The next tender will take place on Wednesday, July 27, as previously reported in the preliminary tender schedule for the second half of 2022.
