Wall Street is bullish on the day of the half-time elections in the US

In the elections, the control of the House of Representatives and the Senate of the United States will be at stakeboth currently under leadership democrat. There is the possibility that after the elections the government ends up divided between Democrats and Republicans. A large number of voters are expected to turn out at the polls.

“We will see markets trading political headlines rather than substance,” said Stephen Innes of SPI Asset Management.

All seats in the House of Representatives will be up for grabs during Tuesday’s election, along with about a third of the Senate.

Voters will also elect governors in most states. They will be in office in 2024 when the next presidential elections are held, so could affect electoral laws or vote certifications before that date. Many state legislative and local authorities are also on the ballot.
