The CNV director, Matías ISASA, pointed out that “Impact financing is the new paradigm of finance. A milestone for the Argentine Capital Market
The Green Market of MiPyMEs instruments consists of granting SVS label for micro, small and medium-sized companies to obtain eligibility certificationsencouraging the incorporation of these companies that must comply with requirements such as green guidelines, developing business sustainability actions and being labeled as such.
At the end of 2021 the project was presented “Greening of finances in Argentina to combat climate change and promote inclusion”developed by the consortium that formed Carbon Trust, Genesis and MexicoCO2. and financed by the UK Pact Green Recovery Challenge Fund, with special encouragement from Alejandra Camara, Managing Director at Genesis Climate Change and Sustainable Finance.
“For us, who have worked on the development of this innovative new sustainable financial instrument, creating a sustainable taxonomy, it is a great joy to see the Green Market for Checks and Promissory Notes implemented”, Camara indicated.
The Argentine Stock Market is part of this integration so that, through its platform, the instruments whose purpose is to promote financing for SMEs in a social, green and sustainable way are negotiated, with the seal of certifying entities of outstanding prestige – or globally recognized standards – such as, for example, the CAME Sustainable Seal.
In this way, MSMEs have a very noble initiative that will give them visibility and financing through the MAV operating platform, demonstrating their commitment to good social and sustainability practices.
