The S&P Merval fell for the third time in a row but ADRs rose strongly

The leading stock index S&P Merval lost 1.2% to 163,476.42 units, after falling 0.6% on Tuesday due to profit taking. In the leading panel, the biggest increases were for Cresud (+3.3%), Sociedad Comercial del Plata (+0.8%), and Edenor (+0.7%). The casualties lead, for their part, Pampa Energía (-3.9%), Transportadora de Gas del Sur (-3.8%), and Aluar (-3.3%).

The Fed finally decided to raise interest rates by 50 points, which was in line with what was expected by the market. However, the main indices of Wall Street reversed trend and is trading in negative territory. What happened was that the Federal Reserve warned that the US economy is about to stagnate.

The highest promotions within the Argentine papers were for Cresud (+5%), Despegar (+3.9%), and Central Puerto (+2.5%). Losses were led by Transportadora de Gas del Sur (-3%), Pampa Energía (-2.7%), and Globant (-2.1%).

Bonds and country risk

In fixed income, lhe sovereign bonds in dollars operate unevenly, after two days with firm advances. Among the increases, there is the Global 2029 (+5.2%); and Global 2035 (+1.1%). On the other hand, on the casualties side, the Global 2038 (-2.6%) stood out; and the Bonar 2041 (-1.1%).

Meanwhile, the Argentine country risk measured by JPMorgan it yielded 1.7% to 2,267 basis points.
