Sojeros have sold 77% of the 2022 production

A government incentive to promote soybean exports was announced on November 27, when a more profitable differential dollar price began to apply again for soybean producers in Argentina, which will last until the end of the year.

With respect to the corn of the 21/22 harvest, 73.5% of the 59 million tons that were harvested have been sold., according to the Ministry of Agriculture. This figure is below the 76.2% that had been sold at the same time during the 20/21 cycle.

Planting of corn for the 2022/23 cycle began in September in Argentina, the third largest exporter of the cereal in the world, although its implementation was delayed due to a prolonged drought that resulted in the smallest area planted in six years, according to the Rosario Stock Exchange.

Regarding wheat, until last week 6.3 million tons of the 2022/23 campaign had been sold, which represents 46.9% of total production.

As a consequence of a prolonged drought, which the National Meteorological Service forecasts will continue for a few more months, the Government estimated that the 22/23 wheat crop would be only 13.4 million tons.
