Shares of the S&P Merval posted their seventh consecutive rise;  ADRs grew to almost 6%

In the leading panel, most increases were for Cablevisión (+6.7%), Ternium (+6.3%), and Telecom (+5.4%).

The stock market round in Argentina scored another historical high due to a recent lower aversion to sovereign risk, which placed the stock market among those with the highest global earnings in dollars with returns of around 30% during the year.

Operators added that the interest was also supported by the opportunity prices that the titles represent after previous strong falls after the Alberto Fernández opposed the ruling of the Supreme Court on the co-participation in favor of the City of Buenos Aires.

On Wall Street, meanwhile, there was a majority of increases among Argentine companies. Among the companies with the highest increases, the highlights Telecom (+5.6%), Central Puerto (+4.7%), and Banco Supervielle (+4.4%).

Bonds and country risk

In the fixed income segment, the main bonds in dollars closed with a mixed majority. Thus, the biggest increases were up to 4.6% thanks to Global 2030, followed by Global 2035 (+2.9%). Meanwhile, the falls were led by Bonar 2029 (-4.2%), and Global 2041 (-2.4%).

The readjustment of the bonds was in line with an unusual break in the trend of Argentina’s country risk measured by the JP.Morgan bankwhich posted a drop of 82 units, to 2,181 basis points, after previously moving at minimum levels in just over six months.
