Salaries: March and April, key months for increases
Unlike previous years, this survey -corresponding to January- indicates that there are already 30% of companies that granted the first salary adjustment of 2023 (and, if one counts those that are giving it as a catch up for 2022, they reach almost 50% of companies).
In previous years, less than 15% of companies used this month to grant salary adjustments. This year this trend changed, but it is also expected that March and April are the predominant months regarding increases within this first semester of 2023.
This survey was carried out from January 11 to 25 of this year and the sample included 417 companies from different sectors (High Technology, Financial Institutions, Agriculture, Services, Consumer Affairs, Automotive, Fintech, Communications and Entertainment, Energy, Oil, Insurance, Technology , Health, Industrial, Chemical, Construction, Retail, among others).
