Agricultural emergency declared in two more provinces due to frost and severe storms

The declaration of the state of emergency corresponds when at least 50% of the production or productive capacity of the exploitation is affected and in that case the owner will benefit from the postponement of the payment of national taxes.

After declaring the emergency in Buenos Aires Province, the Ministry of Economy alerted about two more provinces. It is about La Pampa and Misiones due to frost, hail and severe storms. It did so through resolutions 318/2023 and 319/2023, respectively, published today in the Official bulletin.

In the case of La Pampa, the period covers from December 1, 2022 to March 31, 2023 for fruit, vegetable and wine farms affected by frost in the departments of Puelén, Curaco, Rancul, Loventué, Utracán and Conhelo, in accordance with the cadastral detail provided by article 1 of provincial decree 87 of January 24, 2023.

From January 27 to July 26 is the period for farms affected by hail and severe storms in the municipalities of El Soberbio, San Vicente, Caá Yari, 25 de Mayo, Colonia Aurora, Panambí, Andresito, Dos de Mayo and Aristóbulo del Valle from the province of Misiones.

The declaration of the state of emergency corresponds when at least 50% of the production or productive capacity of the exploitation is affected and in that case the owner will benefit from the postponement of the payment of national taxes.

If this damage exceeds 80% of the production or productive capacity, an agricultural disaster is declared and the producer will be exempt from paying the corresponding taxes.

For this, both the official banks and the Federal Administration of Public Revenues (AFIP) will arbitrate the necessary means so that the producers enjoy the expected benefits.
