ABA, created in 1999, is a business entity whose mission is “promote the development of banking and contribute to creating public awareness about the importance of having a solid financial system as a fundamental instrument for the sustained development of the country”.
The Association has 17 entities (between active members and adherents), which constitute 29% of the system’s assets, 34% of the deposits and 30% of the loans to the private sector.
