The total number of People who accessed financing from Non-Financial Credit Providers (PNFC) continued to increase in the second half of 2022 and reached 10.1 million, 4% more than in June 2022. This is clear from the Report on Non-Financial Credit Providers published this Friday by the Central Bank (BCRA).
This increase in access to financing implied the incorporation of around 216,000 women and 148,000 men in the second semester.
The women continue to have the highest participation, reaching 5.3 million in December 2022, while men add up to 4.8 million.
For his part, the number of assists reached a record 14.7 million, while the average debt for assistance decreased 7% in real terms in the period.
Regarding the irregularity of the PNFC portfolio, it registered a decrease compared to June 2022 until it reached 12% last December.
The number of Non-Financial Credit Providers (PNFC) registered reached the 456 companies in March 2023, increasing by 5 companies compared to August 2022.
the record of Other Non-Financial Credit Providers (OPNFC) reached 385 companies, while Non-Bank Credit Card Issuers (ETCNB) reached 114 companies.
The different PNFC groups experienced reductions in their financing balances in real terms in the second semester, with the exception of the Fintech group, which grew slightly (+2%).
The Leasing & Factoring, Cooperatives and Mutuals, Other Lenders, Other Retail Chains and Home Appliance Sales groups showed reductions of 12%, 11%, 5%, 4% and 3%, respectively.
Unlike previous periods, the growth in the number of people with financing (360,000 people between June and December 2022) was mainly explained by the Human person clients (PH) shared with financial entities (EEFF).
They had the largest six-month increase (adding around 260,000 people and reaching 4.8 million at the end of last December).
The three age ranges (up to 29 years, 30-64 and +65 years) verified increases in the absolute number of people with assistance.
However, the range of 30-64 years was the one that grew the most with around 207,000 new people (3% in the second semester), followed by the one up to 29 years old with close to 144,000 people (7% in the semester).
People with debt in financial institutions continue to represent the largest participation in the total balance (58% in December 2022), reaching $601.5 billion in the last month of the year.
Regarding gender, it is the shared men and women who have the greatest participation in the PNFC portfolio, reaching $300,000 million and $289,000 million in the last month of the year, respectively.
