BlackRock was the one who threw the traded funds monocountry and in 2017 presented the iShares MSCI Argentina and Global Exposure ETF. This ETF contains shares of global companies of Argentine origin. In the first semester it rose 34.8%, much more than its other Latam peers.


What companies does this ETF include? Mercado Libre, Embotelladora Andina SA, Lithium Americas Corp, Central Puerto, SSR Mining, Telecom Argentina, Despegar, BBVA Argentina, Loma Negra, Bioceres, Corporación America Airports, Edenor, Cresud, IRSA and Grupo Supervielle.

How did the other Latam ETFs do in the first half? The iShares MSCI Mexico ETF (EWW) rose 25.7%, the iShares Latin America 40 ETF (ILF), which contains shares of the region’s 40 largest companies, grew 18.7%. The iShares MSCI Brazil ETF (EWZ) rose 16%.
The Global X MSCI Colombia ETF rose 5.54% in the first half and the Peruvian ETF (better known as EPU) has only advanced 6.9% higher since the last day of December until now.
