The resolution comes into force from the day following its publication in the Official Gazette.

Through General Resolution 989/2023 of the National Value Comission (CNV) the collection of the corresponding inspection and control rate to the year 2024, with the exception of that corresponding to the Administration and Custody Agents of Common Investment Funds.

The text begins by remembering that the CNV is authorized to collect fees and tariffs, as well as to establish the payment integration modality. Then, he points out that the Capital Market Law established as one of the sources of financing for the CNV the resources received as the inspection and control fee.

Next, the resolution explains that the inspection and control rates are established andn a fixed amount that each regulated party must pay annually. In the year 2023, these values ​​were established by the Ministry of Economy, at the proposal of the CNV.

CNV: what the measure means

The resolution states that, on this occasion, It is necessary to suspend the collection of the annual inspection and control fee corresponding to the year 2024, with the exception of that corresponding to the Administration and Custody Agents of Common Investment Funds. This is due to the fact that the inspection and control rates are in the process of review, considering both the administrative activity carried out by the organization in the inspection and control of the regulated subjects, as well as elements linked to the profit margin, contributory capacity and value that each type of entity adds to the market.

The official text also indicates that the suspension of the collection of the inspection and control rate corresponding to the year 2024 does not cover those cases that are in arrears in the payment of the inspection and control fee corresponding to previous years.

The resolution comes into force from the day following its publication in the Official Gazette.

In summary, General Resolution 87/2023 of the CNV suspends the collection of the inspection and control rate corresponding to the year 2024, with the exception of that corresponding to the Administration and Custody Agents of Common Investment Funds.
